In this edition of Conversations with Creators, we are pleased to introduce you to @superlatio. It is a true honor to have had the opportunity to interview him. Superlatio’s journey in the world of men’s fashion began in his childhood, influenced by his mother’s art of sewing and solidified by his experience in design and modeling. From his first steps in a modeling agency to the launch of his own brand, he has transformed his passion for fashion into a vibrant and successful career. Today, he shares with us not only his professional journey but also his unique vision on how fashion can enhance individual personality and style.
From my childhood, fashion has significantly captured my interest. My mother, a passionate seamstress, was an inspiring figure at home. At the age of 14 or 15, this fascination intensified; I began to buy my own clothes, spent hours admiring shop windows, and was passionate about fashion magazines. My adventure in this world truly began at the age of 16 when I joined a modeling agency. There, I participated in my first fashion shows and started to earn some money. That experience marked a turning point and motivated me to pursue a career in fashion. After obtaining my first job in a fashion boutique, my interest became a vocation. During my time in the military service, I took the opportunity to study Fashion Design in Madrid, an experience that solidified my foundation and defined my professional trajectory to this day.
My career as a fashion designer and pattern maker, along with having launched my own brand many years ago, led me to think about how people could dress more stylishly and elegantly. Often observing how people underestimate the power of a good outfit motivated me to influence their perception through relevant and educational content. Thus, the idea of using social media as a platform to foster greater appreciation for fashion in everyday life was born, inspiring my audience to explore and adopt styles that enhance their presence and confidence.
I would describe my personal style as a fusion of elegance and simplicity, with a meticulous focus on details that ensure each element is perfectly balanced. My goal has always been to maintain a balance between being bold without crossing the limits of being ostentatious. This approach is consistently reflected in my online content, where I strive to present myself in an authentic and accessible manner, showing how well-thought-out details can transform a simple outfit into something exceptional.
The path to becoming a fashion influencer was not an original goal in my career but emerged as a necessity to expand the reach of our business and take fashion beyond the stores. Initially, adapting to public exposure and the dynamics of social media was challenging. Learning to be comfortable in front of the camera and convey my authenticity took time, but gradually I found my voice and style, which allowed me to genuinely connect with my audience and show them the true value of fashion in everyday life.
Elegant fashion clearly distinguishes itself from more casual styles like streetwear through its focus on sophistication and timelessness. However, I believe that all styles have their place and can coexist harmoniously. My personal preference has always been for elegance, which I associate with attention to detail and a polished aesthetic that can also be comfortable and versatile. A well-fitted suit or even a more relaxed combination of a jacket and sneakers can be equally elegant if chosen and combined carefully.
Quality is undoubtedly my primary consideration when selecting garments for my wardrobe. I value the quality of the materials, the precision of the design, and meticulous craftsmanship above all. Beyond the brand or the prestige of the designer, I focus on how the garment has been made. Additionally, I prefer products from countries that ensure good labor practices and ethical standards in their production, ensuring that fashion is not only beautiful on the outside but also responsible and sustainable.
Among all accessories, the pocket square holds a special place in my heart and style. This small detail can define and elevate an entire outfit, providing a personal touch that stands out beyond other accessories like ties. For me, the pocket square is an expression of individuality and style, a key piece in the visual narrative of masculine elegance.
My main advice would be to start by identifying and respecting your own personality in fashion. It’s not about disguising yourself, but finding those elements that naturally complement and enhance your character. Elegance is based on simplicity and the rule that “less is more.” Start with basic pieces and neutral colors, and gradually incorporate bolder elements that continue to resonate with your sense of style. Additionally, comfort and confidence are crucial; if you feel good, it will reflect in how others perceive you.
Besides fashion, running is my passion; I love participating in marathons and half-marathons, activities that fill me with energy and vitality. I also greatly enjoy traveling, especially with friends, exploring new cultures, tasting various cuisines, and visiting museums. As for reading, although I have not been able to dedicate as much time to it recently, it remains one of my favorite activities and a constant source of inspiration and knowledge.
I have so many projects in mind that it would be difficult to detail them all now, and some cannot yet be revealed. However, they will become known over time. Therefore, I encourage those who read this interview to follow us, as they will learn a lot from the videos we share.
In addition, I face a challenge that has always been a dream for me: to continually improve how people dress. This effort is reflected daily in our business. Our deep involvement in social media is not by chance; we have discovered that it is an effective way to influence and reach a wide audience. This challenge is fundamental to me, and I hope to maintain it over the long term. When we created our brand, I coined the slogan “For an elegant lifestyle” (Elegant Lifestyle), and I firmly believe that we are on the path to achieving it.
